Hi Debbie. I'm responding to your random read of my blog today. As well as both of us being Dean Koontz fans, we also both read Nora Roberts, and are scrapbookers - a major interest of mine. Nice to meet you.
OMG. I used to raise quail when I lived in Indiana. We had incubator's in the laundry room...and no door. Well I had a pooch named Rascal...she was about 9 years old then, and a LasAlpso (I called her lots of alpo dog...lol) anyway one day she comes strolling out of the laundry room...very pleased with herself...with a pair of tiny legs kicking between her lips. She had capured her a baby...her prize. I made her give it to me, and I put it back in the incubator and it was fine. I do know that I have had so many feathered babies in the house that the sound of chirping drove me insane.

My grandaddy used to raise quail...that takes me back in time.
Are you raising these cuties?
Best thing to do with them, after you prep them, is stuff them and grill them... Delish....
I miss food so much....
