Tea and Crumpets

Ahhhhh, I am drinking decaffienated Splenda sweetened iced tea. It so quenches my thirst. I am so tired of drinking water, so I will drink this for awhile.

But what the heck is a crumpet? I have heard it is a biscuit. I have heard it is a "tea" cake. I have heard it is a shortbread cookie like thingy. None of those sound like they would go very well with my tea.

I understand that the English drink their tea hot, so that's out of the question for me anyway, but if I'm gonna eat a cookie (which I can't) I want to dunk it in milk (which I can't). And I'm pretty sure a crumpet does not resemble and/or taste like a good ole Oreo.

I guess I will just have to stick with the iced tea and do without the crumpets.

Without looking it up...what do you think a crumpet is? You bloggers from the UK could enlighten us Americaners if you would like.

Hmm, is it the same thing as a scone? Which I don't know what that is, maybe a cookie sort of thingie? I have no idea. Lol.

Ohhh, I love hot tea. Especially right now, with having a cold. Makes my throat feel better!

Ive been to London..I think the closet thing we have to crumets is english muffin. They are good for breakfast. I also like biscuts, scones and tea cakes. But then...I don't need any of those, do I?

I think they are like scones. And if they are, they are delish. I had 1/2 of a rasberry white chocolate one at a little coffee house one day (can't have the whole thing, too many carbs). It was devine.

I feel you on getting tired of drinking water. I am drinking flavored water and it is just not working for me right now.

I don't know, but I can ask my British In-laws. They would have a definitive answer.
I had to start drinking coffee. Literally, had to. I was falling asleep on my way home from work (i'm a night-shifter).
Have you tested yourself to see if you dump yet? I have...and I don't. I don't take advantage of it, though. I know better!

Not sure what that is. Give me plain old American apple pie anytime. I'm bad, yes, I ate a small piece of said pie with some pumpkin pie spiced coffee creamer in my beverage of choice this morning. Now I have to go to the gym and punish myself! I just caught up on your blog like for the first time in over a week. I voted to. Everyone got a kick over the fact I haven't voted since I voted for Ronald Reagan ...the first time. The only reason I voted then was because I was mad at Jimmy Carter for giving away the Panama Canal...in my uneducated way that was like taking bread outta my kids mouths. I wasn't very well informed and was working in a sewing factory while very preggie with my 2nd kiddo. So to see the modern little thingy you fed the ballot into that reminded me of a fax machine was very enlightening.

I love your shorter haircut by the way. The other looked good too, you looked like Jane Fonda. I like this look better...it looks young and fresh!

I have always pictured a biscuit when I think of crumpets. Really though I have no idea. Perhaps one day I'll make it to England and eat one, and then get back with you. :) In the meantime, I just don't know.
I was looking at your before and after pictures and wow! You look awesome! What an inspiration.
Oh and come on by my blog for a very cute giveaway!

Knowing the good ole English sense of humor, and I am saying this in my most adoring "I Love the accent" and can't live without Earl Gray tea way, I am betting a crumpet is dry and full of crumbs.
Chip & Dale are cute as sh*t stinks!
Kids suck, especially those with complex self esteem issues. You are one hot Mama and I would have just swung those hips a little bit more obviously as I walked past them two 'Beotches.'
Have a great weekend!

Stopping by from SITS on this Saturday to show some love. I'm guessing a crumpet is a scone?
