What are you doing this New Year's Eve?

Since my Eddie is not feeling too well right now, we will be spending a quiet evening at home. We might watch a movie and we might not. We are having steak for supper and probably will go to bed before midnight, with no shooting of fireworks.

Tomorrow I will be making ham, black-eyed peas, collards, and cornbread. Yum!

Here's to a wonderful, blessed, and prosperous New Year to you and yours in 2009! Happy New Year!

Greg wants to go shoot fireworks with some family in Amite, Louisiana, but it's a long drive and I have to work late, so I don't know if I'll be going with him. I'm looking forward to a quiet night at home. My parents' also do the "health, wealth and happiness" traditional cooking on New Year's Day with black-eyed peas, cabbage and ham!

I hope you two have a nice peaceful night .. I'm sure you will.
We probably won't do much. Today is the first day I have felt good in a week, I have had a cold so I don't care to get out in the cold weather tonight to shoot fireworks. We will probably just sit around and watch tv. Tomorrow I will be cooking the blackeyed peas, cabbage and cornbread. Need all the luck we can get, haha ...

I'm at work. Such a party animal, huh? We did go out for dinner, and tomorrow I'll make the traditional foods.
Happy New Year!
